One Newton Foundation

The One Newton Foundation’s purpose is to assist any family in Newton experiencing medical or financial crises, and also to support programs in the Newton Public Schools targeted at bridging income-driven achievement or access gaps. 

(1)   Assistance will be provided families in crisis due to; illness, death, sudden change in financial circumstances or other unanticipated events. Assistance may be provided in the form of direct support from the fund itself, external communications which are intended to result in the mobilization of Newton residents and neighbors to provide direct material aid in the form of meals, support services, errands, companionship etc. 

(2)   Assistance will be provided to help address access and achievement gaps among students in the Newton Public Schools. Assistance can include:

(a)  Assistance in enabling student participation in any approved school activity

(b)  Assitance in enabling student participation in external enrichment or enhancement programs

(c)  Assitance as requested by Principals, Teachers  and other Newton Public Schools staff
